View-by-10 is a good minimal element, already existing, far exceeding the previously existing view-by-1. View-by-50 is nifty for those who want to pay for it. That is not a "good/bad design" issue. It is an economically driven feature. "Old" SI or "current" RB bears further evidence towards this. "Ditto for search. Search is part of the base functionality for any web site with any substantial content." Have you seen any post where Bob says he's charging for search? That's a rather egregious implication, eh?
