You are right on the paper printed at this time. Only purpose is to prevent prices from droping with money inflation. I posted here on that about a month ago. A psycology move that smart money sees. Kinda like comparing GAAP last year with this year and not factoring in that there is no amortization expense this year. A election gimmick.

If you study the Bible, you will realize that Jesus' ministry on Earth had no financial problems at all. I cite as a few examples:

1) Prior to the miracle which fed the 5,000, the disciples asked Jesus if they should go buy food for all those people. It would take a substantial sum of money to feed that many people, in fact it might have been many more than 5,000, because various Bible scholars believe that the 5,000 figure refers only to the adult males. In either case, they obviously had significant resources if the disciples felt that going and buying that amount of food was possible.

2) Judas stole from the ministry for years before he betrayed Jesus. Obviously Jesus would know that this was happening, but he understood the greater plan and did not confront Judas. However, none of the other disciples was ever aware of the thievery of Judas. Again, there would have to be a significant amount of money in their "treasury" for Judas to constantly steal from it, yet never be noticed.

3) When Jesus was crucified, the soldiers cast lots for his garment. Obviously this was not so they could sell it on Ebay, i.e. it had no value as a "collectible." This was because it was made of the finest material and even in its blood stained condition, it was worth a ton of money and could be washed and worn by one of them.

I'm sure there are many other examples, these are the few that come immediately to mind.
