I have no answer to your question, just another log or two for the fire. Beyond China sucking up the unskilled/semi-skilled labor jobs, India is sucking up more and more programming work. I read recently that accounting work now was being outsourced to India. Actually, I hear a lot more angst about programmers here on H1-B visas.

The economics of globalization works great on paper, but when the only jobs available are President of Microsoft and cleaning the toilet of the President of Microsoft, there's going to be a lot of people looking for someone to blame.

my 2 cents on AMZN. due for pullback but think it will be long term survivor. biz is close to monopoly

of the 700 people who have this thread bookmarked, I'll bet more than half have made a purchase at AMZN. I have a running list of things that i want from their site. every couple months i go thru it and determine what i want the most.. then buy a few items.

sales tax makes no difference to me. often can't find the titles i want at retail stores.. have to go thru amzn
