That is really strange. My understanding is that getting the infidels out of Saudi was bin Laden's main goal too. Who'd a thunk, Wolfowitz and bin Laden united in common cause.

It certainly looks as if the Bush administration still hasn't gotten a cover story in place to deal with the absent wmd. We get different stories from different folk: Rumsfeld says they were likely dismantled before the war; Wolfowitz says they were important only because they got consensus on that but weren't the real reasons; and Bush says let's turn the page. I think they are bamboozled at the moment. I don't think that will last. Most likely outcome is they find some small supplies and then go into hyperspin.
