Tench was dealing with number 2. The article did not say that they lied, the quote didn't even suggest it. Your responding about question 1. Which IMO is an open question not one resolved the way you think it is, but even if you are right about it that doesn't answer the point that Tench was making. The quote was posted as proof that there was a lie, and it is no such thing. No, that was not the reason for the post. Inversely, the post was saying that I don't need it to be spelled out when someone is lying. The way some on this thread are heading.....5 years from now when no WMD have been found, they still will be questioning whether Bush and Blair were lying or not. Well, sorry guys, the rest of us aren't going to wait around while you hem and haw. ted
