No. He somehow got appointed to a state school book selection committee for science texts. If his account is correct, he was the only one on the committee who actually read the texts. He was not impressed. He was particularly not impressed by statements like "What makes it move? ENERGY makes it move!" and "What makes it fall? ENERGY makes it fall!" His feeling was that, as the it was being used, the term "energy" was both meaningless and incorrect.

The texts he didn't like were selected anyway, though.
