Their mission is to defend the U.S.

So the Korean Conflict was not justified.

Nor was the first Gulf war.

Nor was intervention in Bosnia/Kosovo..

Nor Vietnam..

Nor was the war in Afghanistan since they didn't attack us (but merely provide safe haven for the organization that did).

And the US should not be involved in any treaty organization such as NATO, SEATO, ..etc, since the US has not been officially attacked??

There is no valid reason for US forces to be engaged in conflict unless the hordes have arrived upon our shores?

Not even if taking out a belligerent tyranny provides the United States with the ability to effect even greater influence and change in Saudi Arabia, the real head of the snake that attacked us on 9/11?

You would happy to permit innocent people to fall prey to genocide and oppression so long as the United States has not been attacked?

Funny... IMO, your strategy, pretty soon the US would be the only country that still remained a democracy..
