had to laugh last nite while watching the O'Reilly show. He's very frustrated that the Pentagon won't come clean re. the J. Lynch story. They are so convinced that the Pentagon is made up of God's creatures that they can't begin to imagine they might be lying. You know...I am not convinced that they are lying. If I was going into enemy territory I would make sure i was overequipped and ready for anything. I have a feeling this one has no legs. I never thought it had legs either but up until last nite, I was pretty certain the BBC claims were bogus as well. However, after listening to O'Reilly who also is becoming less sure makes me wonder what's going on. But in truth, I don't think its a big deal even if they did embellish on the rescue. The fact is she was saved.......that's all that matters. BTW, the WMD issue is bogus as well. I just read D.Ray's post and he's assured Tench that poor Wolfowitz is getting a raw deal from the press. I almost started to sob but than I realized Wolfowitz gets paid the big bucks to put up with the undercutting ways of the media. So that there is no further confusion.......Saddam did have WMD and his soldiers were prepared to use them within 45 minutes of his command. As for not finding them yet, I think they are either with him, or he stashed in all those palm trees you see around Bagdad. The reason why I think the WMD are in the palm trees is because the palm tree is not indigenous to Iraq, and those particular palms I think are really plastic. Saddam wasn't anything if he wasn't clever. ;~)) ted ted Al
