BRUT: sybase.com Here is what I found interesting about BRUT. 1. It is supported by 26 broker/mm's that can send encrypted messages thru window based PC's. on the platform. So, when you see BRUT on the bid for 100 shares and on the ask for 5000 shares what is the agenda for them to move the bid up on 100 shares toward the ask? "Hey Goldman, I've got 5k I want to dump so move your bid up so I can shove them to someone"?? This, IMO is why we see such things as the 100 share "sweep" outs on a stock that has traded all day at a certain level. "Hey Merrill, I want to buy 5k at x.xx, short down to that level for me". Once again the friggin SEC is behind the curve!! Ken
