OT If you sell puts and buy calls, then you must do an expectations analysis on both transactions. I am inclined to believe that the analysis will support the moves, but I am not certain. It is much simpler to buy and hold. I know that there are strategies that will outperform mine, but I do not know if those results will be due to a superior method or to luck. It is not easy to determine. I have decided that my strategy is not generally applicable or reproducible, but falls under the heading of "special situations."
