Sure, but so what? Iraq didn't attack anyone and wasn't a threat to the US. What the US did was a violation of international norms. In fact, the truth is that the US invaded Iraq because it could and because it knew no-one could do anything about it. So, it manufactured some reasons.

In retrospect, it's perfectly clear what the US intentions were because now we can see that the US wants all the oil and the "reconstruction" business for itself and will not give its junior partner-in-crime, Britain, even a tiny piece of the action.
