DJ,

You have managed to push one of my buttons. :)

Not only do I reject the foppishness and foolishness of these philosophical philanderings, I reject this lasciviously narcissistic logomachy with as much force as a 101 keyboard can project!

When in the course of human discourse, writers feel a need to resort to pretentious obfuscations like "hermeneutics" to describe "BS'ing", I run, not walk, to the exits of a text ASAP. :)

Jurgen Habermas would do himself and the rest of the world a great favor if he were to read and absorb this message about how the world really works:

It's not about "hermeneutics". It's about raw power, and how to get it. Right now, Bush has got it. Europeans should understand that Bush will continue his criminal reign of terror until a stronger power stops him. No one can stop Bush militarily. Haberemus et al cannot stop Bush with a keystroke. But the wily coyote currency speculators can and will. My delphic epic prediction?

The destruction of the dollar will be the great story of the next few months. Bush's economic team, because they are at heart scoundrels who own vulture capital firms, will be willingly, nay, gleefully, selling out the American public, and the wolves in the futures pits will want their raw meat as well. And the public will be deceived into submission by the use of new terrorist incidents to keep them from even beginning to get a whiff of the real terror that their soon-to-be impoverished future is turning into....

So bear with me, take this with a grain of salt and realize that my tongue is at least part way in my cheek. <g>
