International Rectifier is another very well-run company which has many operating characteristics similar to CREE. They provide energy saving solutions to a variety of technology and consumer products....including computers, autos, defense and consumer goods. The stocks have tracked each other on a relative basis fairly well over the past year, (with the one notable divergence this april, since closed). Both have been subject to the general industry swings for the semiconductor group, but both now have accelerating earnings and margins....evidenced by their recent matching movements. Anyway, for those interested in an industry CREE "proxy". siliconinvestor.com
