The government defines and regulates how people act within a community Yes, and Communist and socialist gov't steals at gunpoint the fruits of individual achievement. And it is not for gov't to dictate that I must love my neighbor. It may prohibit me from killing or assaulting him but my feelings about him and how I act on them are my business, not the gov't's. If I choose to help him out by giving him part of my wealth, that is my business and none of the gov't's.
