that's definitely one of the drawbacks to people bashing software... they frighten away users who may otherwise need the software and would have had a good experience.

but the basher, feeling somehow "harmed" by the software, takes it upon himself to rant about it in order to get back at the company. ironically, quite a few of these bashers don't follow recommended install and uninstall procedures in the first place, then quickly blame the software developer for all their self-inflicted wounds.

i never will understand why someone can't just say that a given program did not work for them, instead of harping on it being a POS all the time.

of course the software basher will tell you he is just trying to warn people...

you've missed out on a good program in not installing Norton SystemWorks, Jurgis

if the basher was really interested in helping others, he would back off after stating his problem, and allow people to come to their own conclusion about a product.

bashing is not computer learning. bashing is having an agenda and forcing it on others via scare tactics
