Oh, you keep persisting in getting me wrong just to have a debating point. I don't believe Vanity Fair as against Wolfowitz. I don't see this as some sort of zero sum game. I'm skeptical of Wolfowitz and of DOD and of Vanity Fair. You've decided you know who the good "guys" are here.

The big picture here is that the Bush administration is peddling backwards as fast as it can from the story line they offered the world, that the big reason for invading Iraq was the threat of its use of its wmds. The rest were little reasons running around looking for an audience.

Now that the big reason is not carrying its weight, they are trying to rewrite the past. Who knows where this story goes down the road. But for the moment, they are not even doing the honorable thing, which is the Blair position, which is to stick with the story line. Not deny it. You want a leader; you got one in Blair. But the Bush folk are just throwing up lots of fog.
