Cash on the Sidelines?
Seems like the "Cash on the sidelines looking for a home" scenario needs more research. The only data I have relates to cash in stock funds, and that's at 5%, much closer to the bottom than the top of its 3.9% to 12.9% historical range.

I hope this answers the comment I made in the post I'm responding to;

According to mutual fund research shop TrimTabs, a record $5.3
trillion in cash is now sitting on the sidelines
(savings accounts,
CDs, money market funds, etc.). How significant is this sum in the
grand scheme of things? This total now represents a record high 51%
of the $10.4 trillion market capitalization of the entire U.S.
stock market.

This from a newsletter I receive. Essentially the perspective is that we're currently in a liquidity driven uptrend cycle.
