Larry-

I appreciate the overall focus of this thread, and I don't imagine the discussion between SOROS and me has much further to go, I did think of the fact that this discussion is clearly off topic, but I weighed against that the fact that it was Sunday, and the market was closed, and the fact that it is important, at least in my opinion, that people distinguish between the true message of the Bible, and what is "preached" on "religious TV."

With all due respect to your thread, I have found that the thread often lapses into discussions of horse racing, fishing, and of course the fortunately now far less prolific, doom and gloom posts telling us how SARS and other things will be the end of capitalism as we know it. <g>

I didn't choose the thread to come and have this discussion, I replied to a post already here. I think that I have contributed a few good ideas here, most notably DRL which would now be close to a double for anyone who bought it when I mentioned it, so I think I am permitted this discussion as well. If not, well it's pretty much done anyway so I guess bummer. <g>

As somewhat of a peace offering, here is an article on SIRI and XMSR. I have traded SIRI numerous times, but this makes it seem more likely that a long term investment in either or both of these companies would pay off nicely. Neither makes money yet, and they have quite a bit of debt, and will have a lot of shares outstanding if and when they do finally turn profitable, so it will take a lot of net earnings to drop much to the bottom line in terms of EPS, but it seems clear at this point that this technology will survive and grow. Perhaps more or at least an equivalent opportunity would be found in the equipment manufacturers, as it was for a long time in the cell phone makers. In any event, certainly worth a look and worth keeping an eye on these two companies. IMHO
