LOL, the argument against allowing mergers is based upon the same disconnected stupidity of the masses about the real cause and effect of what is broadcast. Show me the money stupid. Stupid people still believe that mr. bill was some genius who made a difference in economic growth. Well maybe cutting back on defense spending forced a lot of really really smart engineers to refocus their efforts on commercial products to earn a living and that increased the rate of technology integration in the commercial sector. But if that is an attributable cause, it was an accident. Programming content is about grabbing eyes and keeping them. That allows charging higher advertising fees for commercials. you don't see the parallel, what's new.
