good advice from nancy, and it finally sunk in.

after having experienced problems with recent ms critical updates, i figured i've waited long enough for them to iron out the code wrinkles.

i created a snapshot of my hd using DriveImage, then installed all the ms critical and security updates.

so far so good. and if it wasn't good, i would just restore the image from this morning.
