Exactly the right point since the term "terrorist" is as much political as anything else.


Exactly the wrong point since it pointedly ignores the not so trivial distinction between ex-terrorists and current terrorists. Arafat is a current terrorist. One point in this never ending discussion was finally settled, I thought, when Charlie Rose looked at Tom Friedman and both agreed that Arafat was a "spoiler", incapable of ever becoming a statesmen.

But then, you knew it was the wrong point when you praised it, didn't you?
