We know he had WMD in the 1980s, because he used them. We know he had them at the end of the war for Kuwait, because the inspectors had them.

The evidence is becoming overwhelming that there were no WMD in Iraq when our tanks rolled in this year (except for the True Believers, who Know WMD will be found, like they Believe in the 2nd Coming).

Between those two dates, when exactly they were destroyed, (or, worse yet, transfered), it's guesswork, based on very inadequate data.

So, I don't know whether Clinton lied about that issue (although I'm quite certain he lied about other issues). I'd guess he didn't lie. That guess, is mainly because he didn't seem to have an agenda where that particular lie would have been usefull. He was a totally amoral person, whose only fixed principle was personal ambition.

I expected WMD would be found in Iraq, after Regime Change, based on the data presented, and mostly based on the fact that every high Administration official had staked their credibility on it.

I'm still amazed that they said all those things, and then haven't found any evidence for it. They seem to be just as amazed. Of course, they're professionals, so they are quite capable of "seeming" anything, anything at all.
