methinks i
should have investigated further before purchasing.
phooey - i always do the hindsight thing and
think maybe i should have gone with the cannon.
i HATE it when i do that. anyway, i've yet to
take a picture - maybe this weekend.

Sounds like the tiny box of electronics has you intimidated.
Don't let all the pages of instructions fool you. Most the
stuff contained on those pages are for those who are for
photographer-wanna-bees. Most of that stuff you will
rarely use unless you really, really want to.

There is probably a simple setting that allows you to point
and shoot. And perhaps another button or something to
allow you to zoom in a little.

The only setting that might need adjustment would be the
amount of memory you want each photo to use. I would
venture to guess it is already set at some sort of mid
range setting.

The thing you might be most nervous about is how to connect
it all to your PC. There is probably a USB cable and a CD
to install. Hopefully the CD walks you right through it.

If not, post your questions here and we will all chip in to
offer you some answers.

Give me the name of your camera and when I get a chance
I'll see if they have some sort of technical support online
or a FAQ.

We'll have you taking pictures in no time. <g>

Good luck. Don't be scared of a little ol' Minolta. You
are bigger and smarter than it.

thanks for the great lyrics

I've been listening to the other songs this morning.

Not many of the big artists out there are writing stuff
that speak out against the wrongs of today.

"In The Name Of God" is a song that someone like John
Lennon or someone of that rebel stature would have written.
I noticed his website doesn't have the lyrics posted for
that song. I'm sure it will grab a lot of attention.
It's anti-war and anti-religion.

Give it a listen.

I'm glad someone out there is writing what they feel and is
not afraid. He has another song about the Isrealies and
Palestinians called Shalom Salaam.

Nested inside the anti-war and save-the-world themes he
also left a reminder that These Be The Good Old Days...

We should live in the now.

Good Old Days - by Ziggy Marley

irie days come on play
let the angels fly let the devils die
got to do what you can with the time at hand
Ali boom mah yeah Ali boom mah yeah
don't worry your mind its just the test of time
in five years these be the good old days

no one knows what the future holds for everything has a season
its not a time for war its a time for peace
tomorrow knows tomorrow woes
I remember when grandpa use to say grandson these be the good old days

these be the good old days

now comes the moon with its starry lights
and so begins the night life
the tribal dance puts me in a trance
as she pulls me in with her magic swing
I asked of her what do we celebrate
she said to me these be the good old days

these be the good old days

leh leh leh leh leh leh leh leh

there is no future there is only now
let's cherish these moments that we now know

these be the good old days
