Tipp,

Start your option education here:

cboe.com

There is much to learn and this is the best place to start. As far as your question about the number of stocks that have options, it changes almost weekly. More and more stocks are adding options. I find I can trade options on nearly anything I want to trade.

However, you'll find fewer options on those "under $5 stocks" than higher priced. Look for stocks that have high volume and high volatility. They make the best option trades.

Good luck! Ken

To make consistent money with options you need to focus on the higher priced stocks (> $20 generally) and those with trading volumes > 1mill/day. Otherwise you are better off just playing the stock.
