you KNOW the psychology of shorting is different. Either way you wind up looking at your hard earned gains disappear, either slowly or quickly. Sometimes quick is better because it gets you out of the game. This rally has been persistent but with plenty of intraday corrections. It suckers you into thinking its not really making headway. I've been looking for a hard correction for a month and it just never seems to show up. Meanwhile I keep seeing the line we need to cross on the S&P keep being moved up by the hopeful looking for the top. I can tell you that there's a lot of block selling going on in at least half the names I look at and that usually signals the end is near.
