Thanks for the links. No, I did not have those particular links. Law is important to democracy because we are all equal before the eyes of the law. Democracy is the great leveler of persons but without law, especially a constitution, democracy turns into thugocracy and kleptocracy. Theocrats and thugs and kleptocrats hate democracy because they are inferior people who cannot remain in power by popular vote. Once they get to the top, they abolish all means of succession except the ones that favor themselves.
