Charleymane, The case for insider trading looks very weak. Not entirely true... If you had said "The case for criminal insider trading looks very weak.", then I would have agreed with you. But the various print media and television reports I saw today, all said that the DoJ was looking at obstruction of justice charges (criminal) while the SEC was looking at insider trading allegations (civil). The bar of proof is set much lower in a civil case than in a criminal case. Therefore, it is entirely possible that Martha is in the middle of a lose-lose situation here. This is an extremely smart move by the Feds. They can nail her front and back, and use defense statements from either court case to bolster their own allegations. Martha is in a pincer-like grip at the moment. This should be an interesting story over the next few days and weeks. KJC

The talk around here is that she'll be arrested tomorrow at her house. I expect the tabloids are busy staking her out should it happen. On top of that, it also looks like the SEC will file civil charges against her. I expect she'll beat the criminal charges and settle the civil charges without admitting or denying guilt. - Jeff
