Len would have to give the definitive answer on that. But he's not real good at explaining himself so I'll guess. Ny guess it's an affectation he's retained from his orthodox Jewish upbringing (not supposed to pronounce the divine name or even write it all out). Of course he rebelled against all that decades ago but the habits die hard.

As an agnostic person, I write it to indicate that G-d is unknown and unknowable, In my humble opinion.

Perhaps, I should type it out as follows:

G?d.

It is my belief that a human, the tool user, employs G-d as his favorite tool, to gain favor over others, human/animal, mineral, and plant, unfortunately.
