Blast Hits Central Paris A large explosion has rocked central Paris, injuring at least 17 people. Emergency services said it was believed to have been caused by gas. The blast took place at 1150 local time (0950 GMT) in a building on the rue d'Uzes, near the Paris stock exchange. news.bbc.co.uk ------------------------------------------ Might this be a part of "Punish France, ignore Germany and forgive Russia" post Iraq war strategy in motion?

Brilliant article! A weapon of mass destruction in normal speech is a device capable of being delivered over a long distance and exterminating a strategic target such as a capital city. Saddam had neither a long-range missile system nor a warhead capable of mass destruction. Indeed. This distinction has been ignored even by many anti-war folks. its renunciation of the fatwa on Salman Rushdie I was completely unaware of this. The U.S. media has certainly not trumpeted this event.
