Derek, Lurking rather than posting can be interesting. Knee jerk anti-bush folks have morphed into general anti-american policy on every issue. It is really tiresome to read the posts on Jennifer Lynch. If the rescue was exaggerated so what. It is/was war and someone used spin. How shocking in a country where everything is spun to some extent. Israel/Pal seems simple to me now. You cant go back to 1947 or earlier. The chance to go back to 1967 was missed once. Bush gave Arab leaders, a last chance to go back to the future so to speak. If they accept and by some miracle Hamas et al and Arafat make a strategic decision to accept the new reality--no iraq, no iran, no syria--sharon will then go along under pressure. Place your bets! Can anyone remember a time in history when two nations at each others throats suddenly accepted the reality of their situation OR can Hamas and Jews ever break bread together???? My point is to hell with this perpetual debate on History. Perhaps like President Bush, we should be looking to make some history instead. My view is that Bush has an opportunity to go down as the best President in this century and we are only three years into that century. Back to lurking but girding for the verbal assault to come. Mike
