Desktop, but with one of those LCD flat panel screens, which is really nice, both in saving space on my desk, and in getting rid of glare and reflections on the screen. It has 512 Megs RAM, a 120 Gig hard drive (really two, one dedicated to the media applications), an internal DVD writer, 2.53 MHz speed, VAIO multimedia bundled apps (especially the software to capture from a digital camcorder or other device and edit, then burn DVDs). With the screen and tax, about $1500. With extra coverage and a few googaws to go with it, maybe $1800....
