I fully adopt Robert Baer's views that the next catastrophic attack will take place in Saudi Arabia's oil fields.

It's certainly a potential scenario. But I don't see what lasting impact any such attack would have. Blowing up a well or two would be inconsequential.. Blowing up a pipeline, an environmental issue that is readily repaired..

Or they could blow up some sophisticated pumping equipment where the tankers take on oil...

I have an interesting scenario for such an attack in mind, but I am loath to post it here lest I give some militant $%@#$@#$ any ideas.

But suffice it say.. it would require some major logistics and firepower to make a lasting dent in Saudi oil production..

And the repercussions to the Wahhabist and militant factions in Saudi Arabia would be dramatic, to say the least.
