A story about SF and taxes, no different from NY or anywhere else: the Golden Gate Bridge needed 14 people to maintain it's constant painting and repair after it was completed in the 30's. That was highly manual.

Now with automated equipment for cleaning and painting, how many do they have today?

Answer: 85

The question is: should we use our energies to force others to pay more taxes, or restrain gov't expansion?

Attempting to repeal Prop 13 and stupid national Democrat efforts to shoot themselves in the foot by allowing themselves to be positioned to be in favor of more taxes are both welcomed by big gov't, and further endanger our way of life.

To create prosperity? That requires individuals be free to do what we all do best, not feed faceless gov't/business insiders.

Taxes are so pernicious and dangerous we need to focus on cutting gov't, not increasing taxes. Even unfair taxation of the poor vs the rich is less important than opening up predatory gov't to the people. Hopefully we can do that before martial law is formally declared.
