OT RE: INTC Capex recap

Just as a point of reference, in 2002 Intel spent $4.7B on capex, 75% of which was devoted to equipment and 25% to bricks and mortar. In January, Intel indicated that 2003 capex would be $3.5B to $3.9B, with 75% again going to equipment. If the consensus is that INTC will guide to the low end of these expectations (e.g. $3.5-$3.7B), then it should not have much of an impact on AMAT if these expectations are confirmed. OTOH, guidance toward the middle or top of the range should be bullish.
