Yes, but did we improve the political atmosphere? I'm not sure we did, and that will take time to play out. What will emerge? What happens if they wish to have an Islamic State? I think there was a much more unilateral and civilized way to go about regime change, without creating a new batch of terrorists along the way.

Love of the US is not on the increase in the Middle East.

I think a lot of the impatience of our administration, and their outright desire for war, was to nix the existing oil contracts of France, Germany & Russia......which I agree, many of which were achieved illegally. But being hell bent on war was wrong in my book.
