Enough intimidation was applied to get the desired results.
Look at the rest of Rove's history and you would have to agree that he will continue to escalate until he gets his desired results, which in this case was to overrule the people's choice for President. Yes, it is pretty heady stuff, but that is the sick and dangerous age we live in.
