From all I've read, I believe Saddam Hussein's fate was sealed back during the Reagan-Bush Administration. What we just saw was the most dramatic phase of the world's largest theft ever.

Here's an article offering compelling evidence that the Department of Death was determined by 1991 to perpetrate war crimes against the civilian population of Iraq. We have been "attriting" the strength of Iraq ever since July, 1990, when Bush I betrayed Hussein and gave him the green light to attack Kuwait. The Bushies have just pulled off the biggest heist in history.
