Ted, A smaller gov't is fine so long as it makes sense and not when budgets and departments are chopped arbitrarily to satisfy an ideology.

What's wrong with that? If your ideology is to reduce a bloated military budget, obviously you'd arbitrarily chop military spending like there's no tomorrow. If your ideology is to clean up wasteful spending, obviously you'd arbitrarily chop anything that is obvious pork, even if your going to anger some political constituencies here and there.

If you're going to criticize the GOP, you might as well stick to racism and class warfare. No one in the Democratic Party is advocating higher taxes, bigger government, and weak foreign policies anymore. Just ask Dukakis. ;-)
