"AHA! I just found his most recent post: 6:34 P.M., and I see that he upgraded, then lost his Mail Accounts. That is a horse of another color....

Here is what I would suggest:

Go to your Mail Preferences:
Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings | Server Settings

Disable: Empty Trash on Exit

If you are using a Theme other than the Default Modern Theme, revert back to the Modern Theme.

Close Netscape:
Open Windows Explorer
Browse to the Problematic Mail Account Folder
(C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename\xxxxxxxx.slt\Mail\mailaccount)
Delete all files with an MSF extension Do NOT delete any files WITHOUT the MSF extension.

This may be pointing to a profile corruption. As a last resort, Create a New Profile ( home.att.net ) and see if the problem remains."
