exactly. and since the commodity is worthless, why buy it when you can buy its paper with all the money from the choppers?

I wouldn't call it a commodity, but like you say, it is mainstream now. There is no real speculative investment value in the tech companies of the 90s. Not to say some other group like bio, nano, superconductor or alternate energy doesn't have some speculative value going forward, but the old companies ain't gonna lead the next wave....I think
