Feds let Ganja Guru off after serving 1 day

The article doesn't go into the jury reaction much, but they were outraged, and some in tears, when they found out this guy was legal under Prop 215. The judge would not allow any mention of this, under the federal contention that 215 doesn't matter, 10th amendment not withstanding. Most of them immediately began a campaign on Rosenthal's behalf. They felt raped by the judge.

OTH, Sun's SF Chronicle had an editorial about clean air, especially relating to inputs from agriculture. I didn't look at most of it; I was stopped dead by a line which said "1 out of 6 schoolkids in Fresno carries an asthma inhaler". I view this as an impending disaster on the scale of global warming. Reaally scary number. I would have guessed like maybe 2%; I checked with the ER doc, who is also the county health officer, and he said he didn't think 10% was an unreasonable number, so I guess 16.5% is probably accurate. Talk about a dirty bomb. That's awful.
