X,

Re: I'm glad Colin is getting sick of the masquerade. I always thought he was a decent guy,

You aren't nearly cynical enough yet. Colin is someone who rose through the ranks by deception. In 1969, he was a Major in the Americal Division and one of his assignments was to cover up the My Lai Massacre. He did an excellent job and his evals all banged hard right. Meaning that he was a prime candidate for promotion throught the ranks. He never looked back.

Today, he's just playing a "good cop, bad cop" act with Rumsfeld, garnering undeserved sympathy from the unwary. Never forget, he was completely heartless about the destruction of Iraqi innocent lives during and after the Gulf War. And he was fully aware that he was lying with nearly every breath on February 5 when he presented his bravura stand-up routine before the UN Security Council.

We are attempting to get somebody to leak the recently infamous "Waldorf Transcript" where Powell and UK Foreign Minister Jack Straw compared notes and expressed disgust about the lies that Powell knew he was about to tell the diplomats at the UN.

Powell is dirty.

Not yet. I started to last night but got disturbed.. So busy getting ready for some weekend guests.

I will later this morning..

Re: CP, I've never like the idea of a career military person high in government. Too use to taking orders. Too rigid, etc.. Also the way he conducted the first gulf war. Not good.. Too cruel and inhumane.. A slaughter, (highway of death) he could have controlled, but didn't or ordered, I don't know, but still his responsibility..

Still a wolf, but in a better "suit of sheep's clothing".

Hi X,

Today I listened to Chomsky's speech. What a treat!!.. To enlightened listeners, of course.. With his intelligence of the situation wrapped in a low key approach, subtle tongue-in-cheek humor, it is a delight to listen to him..

Maybe to other listeners, RW nut types, I mean <g>, he doesn't preach, yell and is obnoxious enough while hurling epithets, (like Rush L and Michael Savage, etal), to get through those thick skulls to seem rational enough to listen to.... LOL..

"The Pen is mightier than the sword"

And the wingnuts know it.. As they are showing their fear, by quivering and lashing out.. A fearful person always lashes out.. Like a wounded animal...

Thanks again for reminding me,

m
