The question does not concern when the intelligence was gathered but how it was used by the Bush folk. It's about the political uses thereof, not the gathering.

One point. I gather from tek's long ago comments that the Clinton folk grew to distrust Chalabi's crew. One of the observations in this material we are reading now is that the Chalabi material was not only believed by the DOD folk but sometimes replaced the CIA intell.

Best I can see there's no traction in the argument that attacks on Bush about wmd presence are actually attacks on Clinton.
