OK so comparing opposing hate crimes to a hate crime is just fine and dandy but just the hint that I am defending a statement about China by DeLay is objectionable.

First, his statement was not entirely correct. At a minimum, there is no hint that the Chinese regime is dying. Secondly, the president has stated he wants to improve relations with China as well as other countries; comments like DeLay's do not help the cause. Thirdly, DeLay went out of his way to antagonize China.

If you think that behavior is appropriate, then go for it......defend him.

Again if it's liberals attacking its attacking conservatives its perfectly ok no matter what tactics they use (except perhaps violence) but if it's conservatives attacking anyone, well then there is something wrong with people who even hint as defending them.

I will be the first to speak out if I think a Dem. is out of order, and have said so on this thread. However, rarely, will a conservative on this thread criticize a Rep. There is a difference whether you wish to acknowledge it or not.

Wow Ted, you do an amazing job of being fair and objective...

I am mostly fair and objective until the other side gets unreasonable, and then I can be as much of an SOB as they are.
