ts, did you actually listen to the BBC during the Iraq war? Or are you just defending them on principle from what you conceive must be an authoritarian right-wing attack?

The BBC hated Bush's war so much (and it's not easy to separate anti-Bushism from anti-Americanism in practice) that they were unable to report that the war itself went well for the coalition. Their reports were full of non-existent setbacks and quagmires-to-be. That was what caused their own correspondent to complain about their coverage. They slanted the war coverage so badly that they didn't report that Saddam was going down until the day the minders didn't show up for work. They got the story wrong. Were you listening to their coverage?
