My guess is that we may agreeing about different things, Mike. I thought it politically dumb and a bit more because he knew what exposure would do to him and he risked it in a situation that was absolutely bound to be disclosed. But I'm one of those who believes in a fairly serious separation of the private and the public when judging presidents and other politicians for that matter. I'm more interested in what they do and what their political convictions are than in who they slept with or did not.

I saw it as a private matter between the three Clintons. And the fury of the Rep impeachment drive only drove that point home more. I would guess that if the Reps had not gone overboard, his reputation would have suffered more than it did.
