Beware the Fed's Knife

What if the Fed makes an emergency rate cut today or tomorrow? Will we go up or down?

I think that the initial move might be up, but that we will then suddenly be deluged with selling because people will genuinely believe the Fed is panicking. I am hoping against hope that the Fed does nothing here, that it looks at the data and says "more time; give it more time."

I am hoping that because I think we don't need a Fed panicking more than it already has, and because I want to get off the 1998 road map because eventually it leads to the 2000 debacle.

But I wanted to put the idea of the cut in your head because I think there is a chance it will happen: 50-50 on a weak employment number that we get in the next 24 hours.
