BWAC..your freight haul observations certainly speak to the issue of the recovery being uneven depending upon industrial and retail segment. The reality is that when it comes to the world of equity investing, especially in the US; perception, hope and financial industry's manipulation of the media rule. US dollars are pumping into the equity market now (not from foreign investors) for fear of missing out on the up move, the jubilation that the Iraq conflict has "ended" and the positive spin on the the "attractiveness" of US equities by the Mutual Funds and brokers. While it pays to go with the current momentum, IMHO it also will pay to prepare now for one of the best shorting opportunities in decades. Prepare the list and just sit and wait.
