very simply put, i guess its about petrodollars.

when venezuela's chavez moved away from the u.s.
dollar, an u.s. backed coup against his government
failed - he's still there. i've no doubt
whatsoever that a leadership change in venezuela
is a "work in progress" for the CIA.

iraq was also moving away from the u.s. dollar
to the euro with other arab states considering
following suit. that represents a clear economic
threat to the u.s.

that's what i think its all about and that's
why there is no political opposition in the u.s.
basically its about doing whatever it takes to
preserve the current u.s. standard of living.
that's why bush has a free hand.

just my humble opinion.
