Well the best thing I liked about Ike, was when he warned, "Beware of the military-industrial complex" at the END of his career, Going out the door... And a good warning it was.. How true.. But, and a Big But it is. I think a lot of seeds of "adventurism" were sown during his time.. And that grew to these various interventions (to say it nicely) that we get bogged down in to this day.. And of course, his domestic policy was not very progressive to say the least.. benign neglect on social issues. Re: GW, Probably, a lot of people around then were just as able or better, IMO.. But I admit, probably a helluva lot better SELECTION THEN over his peers than the current GW SELECTION a couple years ago over his opponent.. LOL..
